Rabjam Degree for 13 Nuns from Samten Choling in eastern Tibet

H.E. Garchen Rinpoche called this event “historical”!

On Chökhor Düchen (anniversary of the first turning of the wheel of dharma), a Rabjam examination in Buddhist philosophy was done in the Samten Choling nunnery, Tseri Gon, in eastern Tibet, where over 300 nuns live. 13 scholars (Khenpos and Geshes) from all four major lineages of Tibetan Buddhism were invited. 50  nun students took part, 13 of them received the Rabjam Degree.

Khenpo Sherab Özer has been working on this project for over 12 years and tirelessly teaches the nuns in this monastery in everything that was once reserved for monks only. Now the solemn moment of this examination came, which was made big and celebrated.
