welcome to the first Drikung Europe newsletter. We like to inform you about events and news mainly in Europe or which are interesting for practicioners. You are getting this newsletter only once. If you like to receive it in future, please subscribe at Drikung Kagyu Europe webseite.

Due to the corona crisis, various live streams are currently being offered to help us to understand meditation better and to perform them together. Below you will find references to live streams this week.

After the cancellation of our events "From the Heart of the Himalaya" we are very happy to give you the opportunity to broadcast a live stream on Facebook of the mandala from March 28th to April 4th each day from 10 am to 12 am and 3 pm to 5 pm!
Daily program morning:
  • 10 am: Green Tara practice
  • afterwards until 12 am: creating the sandmandala
Daily program afternoon:
  • 3 pm: special event every alternative day (see schedule below)
  • afterwards: creating the sandmandala
  • before closing at 5 pm: Parnashavari practice
Special events at 3 pm:
  • March 31st: Black hat
  • April 2nd: Chod meditation
  • April 4th: Yak dance

Buddha Amitabha, called Sangye Öpame in Tibetan, is the Buddha of limitless light. His qualities are the distinctive wisdom that leads to great clarity and the boundless compassion. The practice and meditation of the Buddha Amitabha strengthens our vitality, purifies our mind and gives us the courage to face the present situation, which is characterized by fear, illness and loss, in a helpful and open manner.
Teachings will be given in English and German, practice in Tibetan.

Teachings and practice of Parnashavari

Sunday, 5.4. from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Lama Kunsang will give the oral transmission and instruction on Parnashavari practice on Sunday. The yellow Tara Parnashavari is the supreme mother of all Buddhas and her practice and daily recitation of her mantra is a valuable aid to pacify the current pandemic.
Drubpön Kunsang will give the instructions in German and English live on Facebook and he will lead the practice and mantra recitation in Tibetan.

The transmission takes place from the Drikung Kagyü Dorje Ling center in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland.
